Introducing my personal website - a reflection of my growth as a developer and a platform to showcase my work. It all started as a static site with no backend, built using Vue.js, featuring an about me page and a gallery of logo designs I had created.
As time passed and my skills evolved, the website underwent a complete transformation. I incorporated a Laravel backend with a custom theme that I designed myself. This update added a blog section, allowing me to share my thoughts and insights with the world, while retaining the about me page. The logo page, however, was removed to make way for more diverse content.
Finally, in its latest iteration, the website now utilizes filamentphp, an open-source Laravel backend powered by Livewire. The introduction of a portfolio page has made it possible to showcase all of my completed projects in one place, demonstrating my expertise and accomplishments.
With a visually appealing frontend that uses Tailwind and a dark mode switcher, the website has come a long way since its inception. It stands as a testament to my continuous learning and adaptability while providing a platform to connect with others and share my professional journey.
In 2022, Javaabu Pvt Ltd, the company I work for, was awarded a contract by the Prosecutor General's Office to develop a comprehensive criminal justice sector database in Maldives. The objective of this project was to increase access to data, improve accountability, and identify potential bottlenecks within the system, allowing policy makers to effectively address these issues.
I served as the project lead and a senior developer within a team of three developers. We partnered with key stakeholders such as UNICEF, Maldives Police Service, Correctional Service, National Bureau of Statistics, Attorney General's Office, Human Rights Commission of the Maldives, Anti-corruption Commission, National Integrity Commission, and the Child Ombudsperson.
The project comprised of two major components: a secure database accessible only via government networks and a public-facing statistics portal displaying key performance indicators (KPIs) determined by stakeholders. This initiative aimed to streamline the criminal justice sector's data management and enhance transparency for the public.
We built the database using the Laravel framework, ensuring its stability, security, and efficiency. Our team diligently worked to identify existing data collection processes, recognized redundancies and inefficiencies, and modernized the methods to improve overall performance.
This project is a proud addition to my portfolio, showcasing both my technical expertise and ability to lead a team to achieve crucial, impactful results.
